September 2026 Release Notes

New Features

  • Lesson in Announcement
    Admins can now attach a lesson directly to an announcement, either from the BuildWitt library or your own custom content. A good way to direct attention to a specific piece of training across your full organization or a targeted division, with read receipts available to confirm who has seen it.

  • Rich Text Editor in Announcements
    The announcement description field now supports rich text formatting. Admins can apply bold, bullet points, headings, and body styles to make announcements easier to read and more organized for the audience.

  • QR Codes for Lessons and Courses
    Generate a QR code for any lesson or course that can be printed, and posted on equipment, a job trailer door, or anywhere else in the field to give quick access to a specific piece of training.

  • Anonymized Leaderboards
    Admins now have the option to enable anonymized leaderboards, masking individual names and point totals from the display where or when required with respect to privacy.

  • Platform Challenges
    BuildWitt-hosted platform challenges are coming soon. Make sure as an admin at your organization you have this enabled and be on the look out for some good ones featuring sponsors here soon!

  • Challenges: Intro Video
    Admins can now include an introductory video when setting up a challenge, giving participants context on the competition before it begins.

  • Admin Course Search
    A search bar is now available in the admin course view, giving admins a faster way to find a specific course without relying on filters alone.

  • Content Versioning
    Courses now maintain a version history that captures edits and changes made over the course lifetime. When lessons are added or removed, users who completed an earlier version retain their completions and any new lessons added to a revised version are treated as optional for them. Useful for organizations managing and updating internal custom content over time.

  • Fixed course cards appearing when a course has no published lessons.
  • Resolved library displaying a course card when the English variant is removed but the Spanish variant remains.
  • Fixed the Return key sending a Frank message on iOS instead of inserting a line break.
  • Resolved announcement cards hiding the title when the description is long.
  • Fixed lesson link and file attachments not visible to learners after publishing.
  • Resolved the notification bell unread indicator not clearing after marking all as read.
  • Fixed a 404 error occurring when uploading large videos to a lesson.
  • Resolved announcement video playback speed not persisting between sessions.
  • Fixed an error occurring when saving an edited playlist name.
  • Corrected the Enrolled filter in Enrollment Status excluding admin-enrolled users with zero progress.
  • Fixed the Team Progress "This Week" chart rendering blank in the Content Manager.
  • Resolved YouTube lessons failing with Error 153 in Safari.
  • Fixed the "Shared By" field appearing blank for self-authored content in Content Manager data grids.
  • Resolved pagination not functioning on the Employees table.
  • Fixed the month-end report not being delivered to Distribution List recipients.
